In the western border area between Poland in the north and the Czech Republic in the south, the Giant Mountains stand out majestically. Rübezahlls itself is said to watch over the lush meadows, extensive deep green spruce forests, the wild ridges and diverse wildlife. Large parts of this paradise are now protected in the Giant Mountains National Park. Staying in one of the many cozy mountain huts is a wildly romantic experience at any time of the year. The tourist centres such as Schreiberau, Krummhübel, Rochlitz, Spindleruv Mlyn and Petzer have meanwhile reached a very attractive standard.
