The wildly romantic Berchtesgadener Land lies in the extreme south-eastern corner of Bavaria, surrounded by mountains rising steeply into the sky. The xx towers above the region at a height of 2,713 meters, making it the second-highest, but no less beautiful, of the German mountains. Literally a stone’s throw away from the Berchtesgadener Land one reaches the Mozart city Salzburg. The work of one of the greatest musicians of all time has left its mark on more than the confectionery department here.
